Srirangam Srimad Andavan Ashramam (SSAA) is a more than 300 years old Institution nurturing the philosophy of Vishistadvaitam propagated by Bhagavad Sri Ramanuja & Acharya Sri Vedanta Desika. SSAA conducts sacraments of Samashrayanam, Bharanyasam, Kalakshepams (higher spiritual lessons), Vedic and Western education through their Patashalas, secular colleges, managing / funding various Temples in Divya Desams, spreading Ramanuja Siddhantham, and serving the needy without distinction of caste or creed.
The Head of the institution is “Srimad Andavan” or “Andavan Swamigal”, a name given by Lord Sri Ranganatha Himself to the First Seer. The Headquarters of the Ashramam is at Srirangam in Tamil Nadu and has centers spread across India and the US. Most centers have temples and/or Patashalas. Ashramam also runs Arts & Science College in Srirangam. The main symbol of worship and the central theme of the institution’s philosophical approach is Lord Ranganatha’s Padukas..
Thirukkudanthai Andavan – Srimad Sri Vedanta Ramanuja Mahadesikan (9th Seer) travelled throughout the length & breadth of the country, by Padayatra and set up various Ashramams, around the Country. In 1976, during His visit to Mumbai & its suburbs, HH was very much appreciative of so many Ashrama shishyas & abhimanis, who participated in the Padayatra. HH ordained establishing a branch of Ashramam at Mumbai or its suburb and thus began, on this 2-acre plot, SSAA Dombivli Ashramam.
On 28.01.1983, with the blessings of HH Srimad Thirukudanthai Andavan, and the team of eminent persons led by (Late) Sri V.K. Srinivasa Iyengar, Jeernottarana Ashtabandhana Mahasamprokshanam was performed to Sannidhis of Sri Balaji (Srinivasa), Sri Padmavaty Thayar, Sri Aandal (Godha Devi) & Sri Hanuman.
Mysore Andavan, (the next seer), Srimad Srinivasa Ramanuja Mahadesikan, charmed by the beauty of Sri Balaji, wrote a beautiful poem – Sri Srinivasa Panchasloki.
On 20.01.2002, in the presence of and with the blessings of Srimushnam Andavan, (the 11th Seer), Jeernodarana Ashtabandhana Maha Samprokshanam was performed to the new Rajagopuram, the renovated Sannidhis of Sri Srinivasa – Balaji, Sri Padmavaty Thayar, new Sannidhis of Sri Sudarshana / Yoga Narasimhar, Sri Rama/Sita/Lakshman/Hanuman and Sri Navagraham with Sri Paduka. With Srimad Andavan’s efforts, new Paduka Ashramam Rooms, Staff Quarters & a small Community Hall were also constructed.
On 26.01.2015, with the guidance of Srimushnam Andavan, the third Maha Samprokshanam, was performed.
On 13.05.2026 under the august presence & Adhyaksham of HH Srimad Andavan Sri Varaha MahaDesikan MahaSamprokshanam was performed . Various structural modificationsdone. Ashta Lakshmi on both sids of rajagopuram with gigantic Garuda & hanuman standing with folded hands as though to bless all Dombivilikars. Geethopadesam, Srinivasa Kalayanam, Goverdhana Giridhari and Dasavatharam are some of the new value addtions along with gigantic single Black stone 3 ton Elephants on either side of beautiful architechtural Mukha Mandapam. A heartwarming look at the beautifully kept at our renovated Goshala – local cattle sanctuary, where the herd of cows and calves are safely sheltere
At SSAA Sri Balaji Mandir, Dombivli, Thiruvaradhanam is done based on Pancharatra Agama Vidhis. Timings are:

Timings on Fridays and Sundays will be 6.30 am to 12 noon and in the evening 4 pm to 9.00 pm & Saturday 6.30am to 12,00 Noon and 4.00 pm to 9.30 pm
These timings are subject to change on the days of Utsavams & during Dhanur Masam (December & January)
Arjitha Utsavams:- On behalf of devotees Kalyana (Vivaha) Utsavam, Sri Sudharshana Homam, & Thirumanjanams (Abhishekams), Sahasranama Archana
and / or Ashtotra Archanas are performed.
Bhog: Neivedyam of food cooked in our kitchen can only be offered to the deities. Coconut, Fruits, Sugar candy and dry fruits are accepted for Sevas.
Brahmotsavam: Performed every year on the day of Pushya Nakshatra during Tamil Thai month (i.e.January-February) for ten days – in the evening Utsava Moorthy is taken around in procession in different Vahanas.
Pavitrotsavam Annual Sanctification – is performed every year during October – November, for seven days.
Sri Maha Lakshmi Thayar Utsavam, Navaratrotsavam, Sri Ramanuja Jayanthi & Sri Desikar Jayanthi Utsavams, Anna Koodotsavam, Eka Dina Laksharchani
are also performed every year.
Sri Paduka Ashramam – Will open only during Yatra of His Holiness Srimadh Andavan.
Thulabaram & Mundan Ceremony – can be performed by Devotees excepting Utsavam days.
There are two rooms, on the side of Ashramam where anyone can perform Srardha karyams.
Thirumanjanam (abhishekam) – is done on Brahmotsavam, Pavitrotsavam other Utsavam days and also on the following Nakshatram (star) days every month:

Devotees are welcome to participate / sponsor Thirumanjanam (abhishekam), performed to Moolavar Sri Balaji as Arjitha Seva on Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays and during Utsavam days. If the above Nakshatrams days are coinciding with Devotees important & memorable days, they can sponsor the Thirumanjanam on those days.
Sri Padmavati Kalyana Mandapam (Hall) – Devotees can book the fully airconditioned – Ground plus three storey Hall, which is adjacent to the Temple, that can accommodate floating 400 plus people and having a separate Dining area & 8 rooms, for marriages, functions, etc.
There is also a small Paduka Hall behind the Temple on 1st floor, which can also be used for small functions.
One Day Ubhayam – devotees desirous of sponsoring Thirumanjanam, Archana or other Sevas during their Birthdays or important days can enrol themselves.
